RoboDad Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026 (tester sign-ups added)

RoboDad is an AI chatbot that gives teenagers practical advice about everyday life. It is a passion project made by Saikat Sunil Ganguly in Toronto, Canada. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you use it.

The short version

Parents: there's a two-minute overview at RoboDad for parents.

Who RoboDad is for

RoboDad is meant for people aged 13 and older. It asks for your birth year the first time you open it and only remembers whether you passed the age check, not the year itself. It is not directed at children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has used RoboDad, contact us and we'll help.

Tester sign-ups (on the Help test RoboDad page, adults only) Our database (Supabase): the Gmail address and optional first name, used only to invite you to the Google Play test Deleted once Play Store testing is finished
Technical data such as IP address and the time of a request Our hosting provider's server logs (Render). Your IP address is also used briefly in memory to limit how fast messages can be sent. Short-term, for security and fixing problems

Voice features

If you tap the microphone, your browser's own speech recognition turns your voice into text. In some browsers, such as Chrome, the audio is processed by the browser maker's speech service. RoboDad only receives the text. "Read aloud" uses your device's built-in voice, so nothing extra is sent anywhere.

Services RoboDad uses

Because these services are in the United States, information may be processed there.
